I’m afraid that when companies who were generally against remote work, are now suddenly for it, the next logical step is to convert employees to independent contractors. Why not? Lower costs, no healthcare insurance hassles, and easier to swap out skills. Which would give companies even more power over individuals. Slippery slope.
